Mangwanani Winelands
Boutique Spa & High Tea
The tradition of high tea had its origins in the royal courts
and aristocratic circles of Britain in the mid-1700s, where
afternoon tea was taken at a table, instead of on low
seating. Nonetheless, the elegant version of the time-
honoured tradition presents hot pots of tea and an ample
food buffet of crustless “tea sandwiches” in variations such
as egg and watercress, cucumber, and smoked salmon.
Mangwanani has two high-tea rooms, one on the
Winelands estate, and the other at Sibaya, at uMhlanga.
If the space is not booked out for a function, the high-tea
room may be used for individual treatments such as
manicures, pedicures, foot, head, neck, and shoulder
massages. You can also have a full body massage with hot
stones, which is served with a delicious slice of freshly
baked chocolate or carrot cake.

The high-tea room at Mangwanani Winelands is set within
a private boutique vineyard, overlooking the Stellenbosch
Farmers’ Wine Valley of the Stellenbosch Mountain range.
In fact, this venue is located only 45 minutes from the
centre of Cape Town, just off the M12/Polkadraai Road
near Stellenbosch. It is close to the Cape Town
International Airport and Somerset West/Stellenbosch. The
venue can accommodate 20 people. It is an ideal space
for a champagne high tea to celebrate a birthday or
anniversary. Or it can serve a teddy bear high tea as a
treat for little ones (and adults) on a special birthday.
